STAY AT QWANTANI

Stay at Qwantani, Sterkfontein Dam

Digital logo design featuring the text QWANTANI below a stylized diamond emblem. The emblem shows a black bird silhouetted against a blue sun and golden background, evoking an outdoor, nature-oriented theme.

Qwantani is a First Group resort on the water at Sterkfontein Dam, set inside the nature reserve in the foothills of South Africa’s northern Drakensberg. Guests stay in 53 spacious three-bedroom chalets, each with a kitchen, fireplace and private patio facing the lake or gardens, with guided nature activities, a restaurant and a spa on site.

Your chalet by the lake

Each chalet sleeps up to six in three bedrooms with two bathrooms, so couples get room to spread out and families or friends travelling together share one front door. Cook in your own fully equipped kitchen or on the patio braai (South Africa’s much-loved barbecue), light the fire on cool evenings, and watch the light change over the water. Linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included, and chalets are serviced daily except Sundays and public holidays.

The Marshall Eagle Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner overlooking the dam, and the boma hosts traditional South African braai evenings. Children have the Fred First Kids Club and a daily entertainment programme.
